Jami-lyn Fehr is all about style. Founder and creative director of Nashville, TN, luxury women’s boutique, MODISTE, Fehr utilizes her expertise in fashion, beauty and interior design to curate a selection of gorgeous apparel in an equally stunning space. When she selected the downtown location that the shop would call home, she saw the potential to expand the MODISTE brand and combine her talents in a whole new way: by opening a stunningly chic rental property.
Maison Modiste can accommodate up to four guests and features a king-sized bed and a queen sleeper sofa in this impeccably styled space. High embossed ceilings, striking light fixtures, a charming mantle and cozy upholstered furniture make for a stay that brings a glimpse of Paris to Music City.
Sleek design mixed with vintage touches bring personality to the apartment to create a space that’s fabulously chic while cozy enough to make guests feel perfectly at home. To accomplish this, Fehr mastered the art of combining old and new to create a one-of-a-kind space.
TOP 3 DESIGN TIPS TO RECREATE THIS LOOK
- Let your travels inspire you. “I went on my first trip to Paris in April 2023 and came back incredibly inspired for the interior of both the store and the apartment. I loved the attention to detail found in Parisian architecture and interiors and tried to incorporate that as much as possible, specifically in the columns, doors, and intricate ceiling tile.”
- Combine old and new to create a one-of-a-kind space. Sleek design mixed with vintage touches bring personality to the apartment to create a space that’s high style but still homey enough to make guests feel relaxed and welcome.
- Source pieces locally. Fehr says, “We sourced many of the vintage lighting fixtures, as well as the mantle and art, locally. My favorite element we added is probably the mantle. I love how much character it adds to the sitting space in the entryway.”
