When was ice cream invented? It’s more complicated than you think.
The origins of ice cream are surprisingly mysterious. Here’s what to know about the dessert’s history.
Wendy’s will soon offer customers new ways to get creative with its popular Frosty desserts.
The company announced at its Investor Day last week that Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will be hitting menus nationwide this spring.
According to the fast food chain, Frosty Swirls are created with a choice of Classic Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty swirled with a choice of delicious sauce. Frosty Fusions, on the other hand, blends those sauces with mix-ins for a “one-of-a-kind flavor experience that gets better with every bite,” according to Wendy’s.
“Frosty is one of the most iconic items on Wendy’s menu and we know that consumers are increasingly seeking new flavors and variety,” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, in a statement obtained by USA TODAY Wednesday. “Our new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will give our fans even more ways to enjoy this classic treat.”
It is unclear what the different sauce and mix-in options will be, and a release date for the Swirls and Fusions has not yet been announced.
Get a free Thin Mints Frosty at Wendy’s on March 12: Here’s how
Frosty fans can still get the Thin Mints Frosty at Wendy’s restaurants for a limited time, and can even get a free one on March 12.
The fast-food chain is giving away small Thin Mints Frostys to customers who make a purchase on the Wendy’s app on Wednesday, also known as National Girl Scout Day.
“Celebrate all of the fun and friendship with the limited-time Frosty inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookies,” Wendy’s said in a news release.
The mint-flavored dessert was made available for purchase at Wendy’s restaurants nationwide on Feb. 21, the same day Girl Scout Cookies could be purchased by all. Thin Mints Frostys will remain on the menu for a limited time while supplies last.
