More than 90,000 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles are being recalled by General Motors, according to a recall notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration this week.

The recall includes certain model years of the Cadillac CT4, CT5 and CT6 as well as certain Chevrolet Camaro vehicles. The recalls revolve around internal transmission damage that could cause the front wheels to lock up, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall says owners of impacted vehicles are expected to be mailed on April 21. Dealers will also install “transmission control module monitoring software,” free of charge.
